ARLINGTON, Va. – Gabe Snow has been named director of NRECA’s political action committee, the Action Committee for Rural Electrification (ACRE®).
“Gabe’s strong leadership and his ability to build new relationships make him an excellent choice to lead our PAC,” said NRECA CEO Jim Matheson. “With more than 35,000 donors who give an average of $59, ACRE is truly a grassroots PAC and is a reflection of our membership. I look forward to Gabe helping us continue to grow our PAC while retaining the unique spirit that makes ACRE so effective.”
Snow has been a member of NRECA’s grassroots team for 10 years prior to being named ACRE director.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into this position and look forward to expanding the strength of ACRE, which is an important part of communicating who America’s electric cooperatives are and why we matter,” said Snow.
In addition to Snow’s promotion, Amy Lewis has been promoted to deputy ACRE director. Lewis has worked with the ACRE team at NRECA for eight years.
Founded in 1966, ACRE supports political candidates who support the interests of electric cooperatives and their consumer-owners. ACRE set a record during the 2015-16 election cycle, raising more than $4 million. ACRE is consistently a Top 100 PAC and is the top PAC among electric utility trade associations.
