With help from NRECA Broadband, co-ops providing internet service are boosting the quality of life in their communities—enabling remote work, schooling and telehealth and supporting local businesses and economies.
Federal funding is critical to that mission but comes with its own set of challenges.
On this episode of Along Those Lines, we’ll talk to NRECA Regulatory Affairs Director Erin Dobozy on how NRECA Broadband helps co-ops access these programs, including the $42.5 billion Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment program.
We’ll also hear about broadband success stories and policy priorities from Val Early, grant management specialist for Beacon Broadband in Port Orford, Oregon, and Jeff Blagg, senior grant administrator for Plumas-Sierra Telecommunications in Portola, California.
