After decades of stagnant growth, U.S. power demand is set to jump in the years ahead.
Data centers will be a big part of the increase, but sources like transportation electrification could rival those gains. Some states and regions are also primed for more dramatic growth, depending on incentives and other support for data centers and electric vehicles.
On this episode of Along Those Lines, we’ll examine these trends with Lidija Sekaric, NRECA’s vice president of innovation and emerging technology, and David Porter, vice president of electrification and sustainable energy strategy at EPRI.
Lidija and David will take a closer look at these growth drivers and possible disruptions to demand outlooks. They’ll also discuss tools from NRECA and EPRI to break down potential demand growth and help co-ops and other utilities plan.
